Inerrancy of Scripture (without error)

“The doctrine of the inerrancy of the Holy Scriptures states that the sixty-six books of the Old and New Testaments are the Word of God written and thus are without error in all that they teach.” (Reformation Study Bible)

* The Bible’s infallibility is synonymous with its inerrancy. Infallibility “means unable to mislead or fail in accomplishing the divinely intended purpose” (MacArthur & Mayhue)

* The basis of the Bible’s inerrancy is found in the facts that it is God’s inspired word. It is god’s own word written through human hands by means of the Holy Spirit. As such it is God’s truth and are without error.

*The Bible declares it own inerrancy and its authority in both the Old and the New Testaments. Jesus also upheld the truth and inerrancy of the Word throughout His time on earth.
